This stunning and distinctive bronze pendant brings together two essential symbols of the Viking warrior, the Valknut and the bent sword.
The Valknut is the symbol of Valhalla. This is the hall of Odin in Asgard where the souls of brave fallen warriors are taken. There they are destined to feast until they are called on to fight again alongside the gods in the final battle of Ragnarok.
Only the most successful Viking warriors could afford to carry a sword, as they were expensive to smith. They were so prized that warriors would be buried with their swords, the bade bent to discourage grave robbers.
This pendant forms the symbol of the Valknut using a series of bent swords. As such it represents the height of Viking warrior power, and the bravery and courage required of all Vikings.
